| Meet Dr. Joseph Goth,
D.M.D., M.D. — Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
|
| |
|
Dr. Joseph Goth, D.M.D., M.D. is an Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgeon who has worked in the field of
dental implantology for over 29 years. At his GPC
Oral & Facial Surgery Center, in Moon Township, he
has built his practice, and his stellar reputation,
upon an unparalleled level of skill, and a wealth of
compassion. |
| |
|
Deeply committed to improving the quality of his
patients’ lives, he treats those afflicted with
ailments, diseases, and injuries of the oral and
facial regions. He takes great satisfaction in
restoring his patients’ smiles, and their normal
oral functions, after dental extractions. Moreover,
he acknowledges the trust that they place in him to
accomplish these objectives. |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
He is
highly skilled in the placement of dental implants, and
performing the bone-grafting procedures that may be
necessary in preparation for their insertion. Dr. Goth is
also proficient in the extraction of wisdom teeth, and
dentoalveolar surgery, and is proud that his patients rarely
have post-operative complaints, and experience minimal
downtime. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
He is
one of only a few doctors in North America to offer
low-level laser therapy (LLLT), which decreases pain and
swelling following his surgical procedures. It’s also one of
the many surgical and non-surgical treatments he offers
patients with temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), as it
helps control the pain of TMJ, and other arthritic and
muscular disorders. In addition, it treats healing disorders
of the jaw following dental extractions. These are often
experienced by osteopenia, radiation, and chemotherapy
patients whose prescribed oral biphosphonates have caused
osteonecrosis, which can inhibit post-operative healing.

|
|
| |
Treating people of all ages, Dr. Goth pays special attention
to the needs of his elderly patients, many of whom suffer
from multiple medical problems. |

|
| |
“It’s
very important to us that our patients know that they are
getting the best treatment possible,” says Dr. Goth, “and
our compassionate, friendly environment engenders trust, and
gives them peace of mind. We have the most caring and
helpful staff out there; and our concern doesn’t stop when
patients go home. We are very diligent about follow-up
care, and we routinely call them in the days after their
surgical procedures, to make sure that they are doing well.”

Another
advantage that Dr. Goth’s patients enjoy is a wide selection
of anesthetic alternatives, such as complete general
anesthesia, conscious sedation, IV sedation, nitrous oxide,
and local anesthesia. |

Among
his many impressive achievements, besides earning his D.M.D.
from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine,
Dr. Goth successfully pursued a double degree, and received
an M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of
Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is licensed as a
physician and a dentist in Pennsylvania and Florida. |
